Motorhome Rentals

Motorhome rentals are a comfortable means of transportation for everyone

There are many reasons for renting motor homes. Motorhome rentals can be used for road trip vacations, one-way travels, or business functions as well as the occasional wedding or test run prior to the purchase of a motorhome.

The first step in renting a motorhome is deciding the dates you will be traveling and the destination you will be traveling to and from. Most rental companies will require a minimum $300 rental deposit up front by credit card (up to $1000 with other deposit payment options) and most companies have a minimum driving age of 25. Some accept a signed waiver for drivers aged 21-24 with an extra charge of $25 per day. Rental companies can provide extra liability insurance if needed.

There are many sizes of RV’s but the standard RV rental for up to 5 passengers for 7 nights can cost an average of $756 (with 700 miles gas), larger RV’s that hold up to 7 passengers for 7 nights can cost an average of $900 (with 700 miles gas). Some rentals have optional kitchen kits which include utensils, plates and cookware for an extra charge as well as optional personal kits which include such items as towels, a sleeping bag and sheets for extra charges as well. Motorhome rentals have a generator available for the customers use, but you will be charged a minimum of $3 per hour when you do. Many recommend staying in places that have electric hook ups available for these type vehicles.

After a family decides it wants to use a motorhome rental for their next vacation it’s wise to check with the rental company for any deals they may be running. Many companies will have mileage specials available as well as half price specials or one way deals from many vacation cities in the U.S.
For those families that choose to take their vacation via a motorhome road trip, there are many great U.S. destinations available such as Disneyland, The Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park. Once a family has traveled together in a motorhome most want to vacation that way again.
